I’d like for you to consider the following for this week’s discussion.
1) Neurotheology is a controversial approach that argues, in essence, that advances in neuroscience make it possible for us to better determine whether biological factors are present in religious/spiritual/mystical experiences (RSMEs). After reading the articles assigned, what is your initial impression of this field and it’s claims?
2) Using appropriate academic sources/databases (e.g., PsychINFO, Academic Search Premier), find an article about neuroscience and religion that appeals to you. Read the article and provide a brief summary (it should be more than just the abstract) of the article. Be certain to provide an appropriate APA citation.
