This assignment has two parts. First, you will select a movie that portrays Veterans and struggles that they may experience after military separation or as a result of an injury sustained in the military. Here are some suggestions, but you are not limited to these, as there are many excellent choices available online and through streaming services:

Requirements:
As you are viewing the film, please identify the main issue that affects the main characters). This topic will serve as the basis for the research component of the paper. Your paper will include the following components:
•Brief introduction that introduces the selected film, and rationale for why you chose it
• A 1-2 paragraph summary of the film
• A discussion on the main issue of the film as it pertains to the physical, mental and/or psychosocial health of the Veteran.
• Identify the main issue
• Use the literature (a minimum of three scholarly sources) to provide context to the issue
•What is it? Provide a thorough discussion on the issue (pathophysiology, causative/contributing factors)
•What is the prevalence of the issue in the Veteran population
•Why are Veterans at a higher risk than the general population to be affected by this issue?
•How does or might this issue affect the Veterans family/support system?
•What is/are the evidence-based solutions to address this issue?
• Identify at least 2 national and/or local resources that you could share with a Veteran or their families for further information and/or support
Identify if there is any existing or pending legislation to help address
the issue
•Share your thoughts on what should be done to continue to address this issue to improve health outcomes
Your paper should be in APA format, including section headers and should be 7-8
pages, not including the title and reference pages. Please use a minimum of 3 scholarly resesources.
