ABSTRACT

This section must include that the problem is testable and is measured quantitatively or qualitatively.
Purpose of the Study (1 paragraph)
This section defines the aims or goals of the study. Use action verbs such as explore and discover in the purpose statement.
Research Question (1 paragraph)
This section is fact finding guided by research question(s).
Include variables to be studied.
A quick google search would be a good starting point, then find some articles about the one selected that is applicable to your study.
Theoretical Framework (1 paragraph)
The theoretical framework on which the study is based.
Significance of the Study (1 paragraph)
This section includes why the research is important. For example, the research study will build on current knowledge in the delivery of healthcare services.
LITERATURE REVIEW
This section provides a strong knowledge base to carry out a sound research study. It is essential to acquiring knowledge for the development of a research proposal. It relates the proposed study to existing scholarly literature.
RESEARCH METHOD
Research Design
This section provides a plan for answering the research question. Identify whether the study is quantitative or qualitative. It is imperative that the selected research design is in alignment with the research question(s), the problem statement, and literature review.
Study Population
This section describes the population from which the sample is drawn.
Sampling
This section provides information about a portion of the population to represent the entire population. This representative sample must closely approximate those of the population.
Data Collection
This section describes the data collection method used for the proposed study. For example, available data can be used to study a problem. The data must be appropriate to the problem being studied. Watch out for selection bias.
Data Analysis
This section describes the type of statistics. The statistic employed must make sense. For example, if the study is an exploratory one, the statistics will be descriptive in nature. Should tables, pie charts, and bar charts used to display the results of data analysis? Which statistical tool will be used to analyze the data (e.g., SPSS).
PROPOSAL DISCUSSION
Draft a discussion that ties the entire proposal together and incorporate in-text citations.
