In this post please respond to all of the following:
In the lecture, we discussed the social dilemmas that we can face in our day-to-day lives. Please give an example of a social dilemma you’ve faced. (if there are any names mentioned, please do not use last names for anonymity)
What would research say surrounding this dilemma?
Did you find a way to solve the dilemma? If so, how did you do this? Would what we covered in class (or other data/sources) support this strategy (in other words, would this be considered a good way to solve this dilemma)?
What long-term consequences did this cause?
If you were to face this dilemma again, would you use the same strategy?
6 Discussion Posts (25 point each; 150 points total): You will need to both have one
detailed-post per discussion as well as respond to at least two other students’ responses
(3-4 is ideal). You need to make a full-faith effort to both answer the questions and respond
to your peers. You must defend your points of view with actual data, usually in the form of
citing research that is discussed in class or in your textbook, although external citations are
welcome. External citations MUST come from peer-reviewed sources. Citations are
expected and required to earn the full points for each post. The ONLY exception for this is
in your first discussion post, which is about describing yourself, where citations are not
required. (i will obviously do the responses)
