1) Students are to complete the assigned Faith Integration Biblical readings each week and spend some time thoughtfully journaling about your reactions to and reflections of the readings, particularly as they relate to the field of mental health and your role as a mental health practitioner. These entries are not turned in, but are to be utilized as a resource for your Reflection Assignment (see below).
(2) Students are to interview parent, or key family member regarding their personal and cultural world view about mental health and treatment including their viewpoint regarding medications and psychotherapy
(3) Students are to interview a religious leader of their specific faith tradition to identify a spiritual belief perspective about mental health and treatment including medications.
(4) At the end of the term, you are to write a 5-page (double-spaced) reflection paper summarizing your interviews and biblical readings. Your reflections should be synthesized into one cohesive paper on the intersection of faith, mental health services, and psychopharmacology. It is ok to write in the first-person as you will be discussing your personal experience, thoughts, opinions, etc. This paper does not require citations.
