Children and adolescents can be diagnosed with disorders that are more common in adults, like depression and anxiety, but there are some disorders that are especially common among children, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Separation Anxiety Disorder. The purpose of this discussion is to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of one common childhood disorder, as well as your ability to compare and contrast the similarities and differences among the various childhood disorders.
