For your presentation, I am looking for you to provide a comprehensive view on the topic of SEL.
audio presentation to provide an audio narration of the slides.
The presentation should include a minimum of 10 slides (not including the intro)
the slides should include visual aids such as charts, graphs, purposeful graphics to aid understanding, short video clips demonstrating SEL in the classroom, etc. Your slides should be dynamic and not serve as notes or a script for your presentation. (Meaning your slides should not simply be bullet points or text of your speaking points or just random pictures of children or classrooms). They should hlep aid understanding of the data you are discussing from your studies in your reserach article reviews.
I am looking for 3 distinct sections in your presentation:
The introduction: This is where I would like you to introduce the concept of SEL (you will have to do some research here) you can discuss the definition of SEL, the critera, the different aspects, the history, etc…
The body: This is where you will discuss the 3 research articles that you used in your last assignment. Talk about the hypothesis, the method, the findings, etc.
The conclusion: This is where I would like for you discuss your own thoughts and feelings on SEL. You can talk about the pros and cons, you can discuss how you would utilize it in a classroom, child care facility, at home… You can discuss how it is practically applied. You can talk about why you think it is necessary or not neccessary for social and emotional development, if it is practical to include it in teaching, if it should be done at home… this is your critique and opinion of SEL programs.
