⢠Review the life expectancy table in chapter 13. On this table is shown that of the five developed nations listed the United States has the lowest average life expectancy for both men and women, the highest infant mortality, and the highest amount of deaths attributed to medical errors.
⢠Based on the chapter, previous chapters, and outside research, what factors might contribute to these high figures? What might the United States learn from the other countries listed in this chapter in order to improve these figures?

For this assignment, you will be reading chapter 14 and reviewing how healthcare is paid for in four different countries. After reading chapter 14 you will answer the following questions. Each question should have four answers as you will be answering these questions for Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Japan.
You are a general practitioner. How are you paid?
You are a specialist. How are you paid?
You are a hospital administrator. How is your hospital paid?
After addressing the above you will conclude with an analysis that addresses the following:
Start by reviewing Figure 14-6 that shows the percentage of people who had difficulties gaining access to medically necessary care due to the cost of care.
After reviewing this figure, you will use your answers from the previous section to provide a brief explanation as to why 2.5-9.25 times more people had easier access to care than in the United States in terms of cost.
