Please discuss: You just discovered that Huntington’s Disease, an autosomal dominant disease, runs in your family. People with the dominant gene do not show symptoms until later in life. It leads to progressive neurological damage and is always fatal. Given that you have a 50% chance of being diagnosed with Huntington’s, would you want to be tested to see if you carry the allele? What are the advantages and disadvantages of your choice?
