1. Watch the movie: “A Beautiful Mind” starring Russell Crowe
2. Conduct a family assessment based on the individuals portrayed in the movie.
*For this assignment, you will watch the assigned movie (“A Beautiful Mind”) and the subjects in the movie are to become the patient and family that you are to assess. You are not to assess the client and family in the move as characters or actors but as an actual ‘real life’ family as much as possible.
** The assessment includes 12 data collection categories in which information is gathered while watching the movie family. Students will prioritize a health concern based on the family assessment data; making sure to prioritize those issues that are MOST IMPORTANT for both the client and the family and as supported using the data collected.
3. The written assignment includes a discussion of the assessment and analysis of the family and the planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of the health promotion plan to address the needs of the family in a meaningful way, there is an emphasis on planning for the relevant community resources that the family would need to carry out health promotion activities. You must use references (textbook, family theories textbook, at least 2 current professional journals articles, class notes, others), and these must be cited throughout your paper. The paper should be double spaced, APA 7th edition with a title page and references (which do not count towards the total number of pages), and paper should be between 5-7 pages.
