Female
Age 48
Ht. 5’5″ Wt.125 lbs.
Prakriti: P/V
Occupation: Office manager
Sometimes entrepreneur in “health” ventures
Her chief complaints are:
Headaches for the last three months. She feels they are due to the stress she has been under and also feels that she needs to detox. She seems to place a great deal of emphasis on detoxification.
She is always tired and has been experiencing fear occasionally until recently when she experienced a bout of intense fear which lasted for a two week period. Her fear is usually centered around the future â a fear of failing and what she describes as a separation from ‘God’.
She has been experiencing chest pains for the last two years. The pains come and go and are usually very sharp. She also experiences heart palpitations at the same time.
Other symptoms include:
nervousness
numbness/tingling
cold hands and feet
coated tongue
neck pains
poor endurance
gas and abdominal pains
irregular digestion; occasional constipation
a lack of appetite; irregular appetite
hemorrhoids
Her menstrual periods have been regular although they have been changing the last six months.
The length of the cycle is becoming shorter with usually only 3-4 days of flow.
History:
She had a sickly childhood with bouts of asthma and bronchiolitis between the ages of 3 and 5. She was breast fed until nine months of age, after which she was given milk, which was continued throughout childhood. Now she finds that when she eats dairy she breaks out in bumps all over her skin.
Between the ages of 5 and 25 she suffered from bronchitis several times. She was given antibiotics for her respiratory infections whenever they occurred.
She experienced several kidney and bladder infections between the ages 25 and 27. At age 34 she suffered from a mental breakdown. She feels that it was due to the stress and lack of direction. She tried to build a natural heath business but could not find suitable partners and financial support. She ended up bitter and frustrated and had to return to a corporate job.
She occasionally suffers from skin boils.
She never married and has always lived with two pet cats. She has had several partners but never committed to a steady long-term relationship. She is not in a relationship currently. She communicates with her siblings often and makes regular visits of her parents. She needs to run errands for her aging parents frequently as her siblings live far away and that makes her stressed and resentful.
There is a family history of pneumonia, cardiovascular disease and colon cancer.
Her diet consists mostly of raw foods. She is very conscious of what she eats and tends to avoid “fatty” foods. Typically her diet includes:
Breakfast: Tropicana orange juice
Whole grain cereal with cold soymilk
Toast (usually rye) with very little butter
Mid-morning: She may have a piece of fruit or raw vegetables
