Please carefully read the instructions for each of the assignments. For this exam, you are required to complete a total of 3 responses out of the following 4 assignments. The first assignment is required of all students. The minimum length for this required assignment is 500 words. More is certainly acceptable.
You then have a choice of 2 out of the next 3 three assignments. The minimum length requirement for each of these assignments is 300 words. More is again certainly acceptable.
The minimum length for all responses is exclusive of any headings, copying of the questions, reference citations, etc. APA 7th edition formatting is required for all narrative responses in this exam: e.g., double spacing, 12-point font, one-inch margins, and indenting the first line of each paragraph. You are also expected to utilize in-text citations, appropriately placed and formatted, as well as an appropriately formatted reference list—all should conform to APA 7th edition standards.
Each response must include at least 2 references to provide context and support for your response. While the assigned readings and class discussions may be utilized as references, they will not count as the required minimum 2 references. Please identify each assignment you are responding to, and identify subparts, as appropriate.

A response to the following is required of all students
There have been many debates about whether the Affordable Care Act should remain the law, as is, or be changed in some way(s) to improve it. Others have supported proposals, which could result in substantial changes to our current health insurance system.
You must select and evaluate ONE of the following options, which you believe should be adopted. In your response, you must define/describe the major components and characteristics of your selection, and then provide a meaningful, supported evaluation of why you believe your choice is the best one for the country. Also, provide a reasoned opinion regarding whether and why you believe your selection could (or could not be) be enacted into law.

Keep ACA, but with recommended changes (You will need to define the recommended changes and use supportive research.)
Any Republican plan/proposal of your choice
PART II:
You are required to respond these two questions
Should there, and can there be, a federal law requiring health care workers to have immunity from certain defined communicable diseases (e.g., hepatitis, rubella, flu) or, if not, to be immunized against them? In your response, you must show proficiency with the concept of federalism.
If you were the secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services, what policy recommendations would you make to the president and to Congress that could curb health care costs without negatively affecting quality of care or access?
