In the Introduction section, you will use a minimum of five sources. I have provided you with two sources: a paper describing the Cognitive Reflection Test and a paper describing the Need for Cognition scale (they are in the files section) You will use Google scholar or PSYCINFO to find at least three other sources. I suggest that you find at least one more research article that uses the Cognitive Reflection Test and at least one more that uses the Need for Cognition scale.
The Introduction section will consist of a minimum of five paragraphs. In the first paragraph, you will introduce the research topic and explain why it’s an interesting question. In the next three (or more) paragraphs, you’ll describe the previous research using the Cognitive Reflection Test and the Need for Cognition scale from the five or more papers you’ll be reading. The final paragraph will summarize your thoughts and end with specific hypotheses about how instructions to reflect and the Need for Cognition might be related to problem-solving ability.
In writing the Introduction, the most important thing to do is to use the previous research described in the five or more papers to lay out a logical foundation for your hypotheses.
The References section will list the five or more sources you used, in APA style. Again, consult the sample papers for models.
