Students will choose a health topic from a list provided by the instructor. They will then choose two populations, one of which they are a member or are very familiar with, and a second of which they have little to no knowledge. Populations can be defined in terms of race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability status, religion, or any other topic discussed in class. The 3-5 page paper will discuss how to discuss the health topic from a health equity and cultural responsiveness standpoint. A full rubric will be provided.
