Create and present a 15-slide 20 minute voice-over PowerPoint presentation based upon your DNP scholarly project topic. Consider your potential clinical question and the population and setting in which your scholarly project may/will take place. What are the epidemiological principles that affect the population of your scholarly project? Remember that epidemiological principles are the areas we cover in this course – for example the study of disease in a population -some diseases are infectious (vector borne or person-to-person or zoonotic), some are not infectious (diabetes, obesity, alcoholism). Principles involving distribution and determinants of these diseases include prevalence, surveillance, transmission, prevention, risk factors, environment, screening, etc. The principles are determined by the nature of your scholarly project. What needs to be considered from an epidemiological perspective in the implementation of the scholarly project? Could you design a research study based on your scholarly project with an epidemiological focus – if so what would it be? Consider a case control or cohort study. What would the outcome tell you?

* include the role of the DNP prepared nurse in the investigation of this topic.
