Starting with Kristopher’s prenatal development, develop a table or chart identifying:
Risk factors and/or ACEs Kristopher experienced in each stage, and other concerns you may have about Kristopher’s development.
Short and longer-term developmental outcomes (e.g., developmental delays, difficulty progressing through Erikson’s stages, attachment difficulties) displayed by Kristopher that are associated with the risk factors and ACEs you identified.
For each developmental stage, also list protective factors and/or signs of resilience you see in Kristopher and in the case information.
Notes: A sample chart is offered below. Students may use this sample chart or create their own version. In the chart, be sure to link the risk factors and ACEs you identify to short-term and longer-term developmental outcomes, as described in the text or other scholarly sources.
For example, consider a case study in which a person experienced childhood physical abuse:
What are the risk factors for experiencing physical abuse? Did this person experience any of those risk factors? If so, in what stage(s)? List the risk or ACE in each stage in which it occurred (e.g., if the person experienced physical abuse in early and middle childhood, you would list physical abuse in each of those stages).
Using this same example, and according to the readings, what are the short-term developmental outcomes associated with physical abuse? Identify which of these outcomes the person evidenced and list in the chart.

Consider such issues as whether Kristopher’s family can afford the ones you’re recommending. Will the adults be required to participate or transport him to/from the activity? If so, would that be realistic for this specific family? Give it some thought and get creative!
