Last week, you decoded the results from the published paper that you read in week 6. This week, your research assignment is to create a graph of these data. For your submission, you can upload either a screenshot of the graph or you can upload the spreadsheet containing the graph. Make sure that your variables are labeled and that you have a relevant title at the top. You should create a graph in Excel that shows the difference in percentages between the experimental and control groups. I have provided an example (based on another topic) and some tutorials below of what I am looking for.
Here are a couple of tutorials for those new to Excel:
In the example to demonstrate the kind of graph I am looking for, researchers want to know whether providing students with breakfast would increase their performance on a standardized math test. Sixty students were randomly selected from a local elementary school. Researchers asked students who had not eaten breakfast and provided breakfast for half of them. Later that morning students were administered a standardized math test. The percentage of students who earned a C or better was calculated. 56% of the students who received breakfast (experimental group) earned a C or better on the exam and only 12% of students who did not receive breakfast earned a C or better on the exam. Below is what one could do with that data to represent the difference in scores between the two groups in the results section of an academic paper.

For your assignment, you need to take the data from Experiment 1 of the paper and create a simple graph to represent the results of that study. Make sure to provide appropriate headings and labels.
Here is the relevant excerpt, “As described above, only those 77 participants who reported intending to perform the behavior required to make the donation were included in our study. Those in the reminder-through-association condition performed the intended behavior at a significantly higher rate (74%, 29 out of 39) than did those in the control condition (42%, 16 out of 38), Ï2(1, N = 77) = 8.2, p = .004. Study 1 confirmed that the reminders-through-association approach can reduce follow-through failures.”
