Identify a scientific claim and use peer-reviewed scientific literature to either support or oppose the claim.
Specific Instructions:
Choose a scientific claim that you would like to research. It does not need to be a medical/health claim if you would like to choose something outside this area. It also does not have to be something that you personally agree with. To identify your claim, be creative…this could be anything. Think of advertisements for health products, protein/pre-workout/post-workout shakes, anti-aging products, homeopathic therapies, etc.
Must be 4 pages (double-spaced) not including reference page
Must include at least 5 peer-reviewed sources
APA format for citations, but you do not need to include a title page and/or running head
General format:
Introduction – introduce the claim, where it can be found, etc.
Main body – support or oppose the claim using your peer-reviewed sources.
Conclusion – summarize your findings and potential future areas for research.
