Let’s discuss the importance of determining if a patient is showing abnormal vital signs? What would this look like? Think about your past experiences being in a room with a technologist (any diagnostic exam) and what you were asked to do for the exam. Think about the environment: what it looked like, who was around, furniture placement, etc… After thinking about your past experiences, why or why not would it be important for you as a technologist to be able to accurately determine if a patient has normal or abnormal vital signs?
