Purpose: this assignment is designed for students to create acupuncture jobs in the healthcare system, examine the stakeholders, look at the quality of care provided and understand how acupuncture could add value to this healthcare system. If the system already has acupuncture, describe the acupuncturist’s position/role and discuss what works well and how acupuncture and East Asian Medicine (EAM) services could be expanded for added value. Please review the rubric in Moodle for specific grading criteria. 
Discuss the healthcare system selected including:  
Mission, Vision, Culture of the chosen health care system  
Description of quality scored in the county and region (research quality metrics of your healthcare system. Do a google search of “quality measures” and the name of your health care system). Do a search for your healthcare system and the term quality. 
Stakeholders: Discuss who are the stakeholders (Patient base, medical specialties, board of trustees)  
Using quality research explain how  EAM  providers can add value to the healthcare system (Discuss if the system already uses  EAM  providers or how they can add value to the healthcare system, do they need more?) 
Identify system contact(s) and describe implementation of acupuncture services. 
Consider existing acupuncture funding models: grants, research, teaching, fee-for-service, etc.

Accurately discusses and identifies relevant Research that is applicable to the system selected and presents in a well-organized manner that reflects depth and insight into the subject
