In the video it displays an escape fire as a fire that was deliberately started to save the fire jumper in the fire that was not going to escape. One of the main things that impacted me was the lady who went in for help that had cut herself and suicidal. She was obviously in a crisis and when the Doctor called for a crisis professional, there was not any at that moment. That makes me wonder how many times this happens in an everyday healthcare setting. I do not think as Americans we pay enough attention to our mental health. Another concern I have is that how much of our healthcare is used to treat conditions instead of curing them and how most of these diseases are preventable. I have not taken into consideration how true that is. I know multiple people in my family that have chronic conditions and it feels like they just throw medicine at them until their next visit. I did not realize that funds and how the healthcare market gets paid is by the number and quantity of patients they have and not the quality of care of what said patients receive. I would think it would be the opposite, if I am not getting quality care I would quit going to the doctor, therefore they would lose a patient. Plus, one thing I have noted in my own visits is that my own Nephrologist was cheaper to be self pay than go with insurance before I met my deductible. Healthcare is so expensive and not everyone can afford it.
