For this written assessment, you are asked to prepare a scientific report of 2000 words on a Covid 19 vaccination in Ireland
There is no limitation on the size of the programme/initiative that is suitable for this assignment; for example, it may be the monitored vaccination of a specific population, a vaccine trial or a wider government-driven initiative – the choice is yours.
Within the report you should include a number of sections to consider:
• Introduction
• Problem statement
• Vaccine development
• Implementation and evaluation
o By what means the predicted outcomes of the programme were monitored,
o How the initiative performed, and…
o Retrospectively, what (if anything) could have been done to improve the end result.
• Discussion, you should mention if you feel that such initiatives provide value for money and what the alternatives might be?
For information, we are deliberately using the term “report” for this assignment as the work is expected to be organised with a strong structure based upon the sections outline above; each of these sections has a particular purpose (as outline above). However, you are also required to analyse, evaluate and produce a line of argument to support your report outcomes (see the fourth item above), just as you would approach as standard academic essay.
