Hello. I have a rough rough draft of a presentation assignment to do.
I have attached my draft, along with an example. All the research and content is theoretically there. Formatting, and the involvement of graphs/data analysis as per the instructions as missing.
The main article is also attached, but there is 2 other sources used.
**I have made this assignment more costly on purpose so that high quality can be done and paper is fixed as needed for instructions completion.
MAIN INSTRUCTIONS:
• Every poster should list the title of the article, the authors and the journal in which
it was published (top of poster)
• Every poster should have introduction, methods, results, conclusions and
references sections.
• Every poster should have at least 4 graphics in its results section – 4 figures with
each one containing 4 subfigures if available.
• If the article of choice has too many figures, present the 4 most
important/impactful ones – you pick and choose which data figures to present. A subfigure of the original article cannot represent a stand-alone figure in your poster. For example, figure 3D in the original article cannot be all of figure 3 in your poster.
• Label figures so the reader knows what is being plotted, but do not include lengthy legends. The figures should have short titles and main points from the graphics you are showing.
• Do NOT copy/paste text directly from the articles; you have to write this in your own words. Copy/paste can be considered plagiarism and will be penalized. All these posters will be put through safe assign to check not only for copy/paste but also close paraphrasing. If you paraphrase too closely – you copy a sentence from the article, but you replace 2 of the words with synonyms – you will lose points. Lack of originality in your poster equals lack of points. Plagiarism can result not only in a zero on the project, but possibly a zero in the class and academic disciplinary actions.
• Reference at least 3 articles in the references section: the main article presented + a minimum of two additional articles to support the data/hypotheses/topic. The additional articles have to come from peer-reviewed journals. If you are unsure as to which journals are credible, just stick with the four allowed journals. Or, alternatively, you can pick two articles that are part of the main paper’s referenced literature (in that case, it can be any two of those). The two additional articles should serve as additional sources to understand the topic or the conclusions, so you can incorporate a little bit from them into your intro and possibly into the discussion.
• Nothing in the poster should be your own opinion. All the information presented should be information that has come from the articles but the way you have understood it and are able to explain it in your own words. For help, go to the office hours of your instructor or TA, as well as attend the in-class poster prep listed in the syllabus.
• Reference in APA format: Authors names (Last first), year, title, journal’s name, volume, issue, pages. Do NOT include web links in citations or references.
• Be creative with the presentation and have fun with this! But at the same time be accurate and follow the directions. Do not copy paste sections of the paper into your poster as this can be interpreted as plagiarism. Your poster has to written be in your own words (other than the graphics, of course), but it still has to accurately reflect the information in the original article.
