Capstone Topic Summary
In collaboration with the approved course preceptor, students will identify a specific evidence-based topic for the capstone project change proposal. Write a 150-250 word summary explaining which category your topic and intervention are under (community or leadership).
The project change topic I want to focus on is how to make nurses comply with doing bedside reporting instead giving report in the hallway or at nurse’s station. Even though nurses are supposed to follow the bedside report policy on the medical surgical floor I am doing clinical rotation on, nurses are not following that policy. This is a heavy unit with vented patients, central lines, iv lines, Foley, peg tube feeding, hemodialysis patient, pneumonia, multiple decubitus and falls. I would like to work on this project for capstone. This falls under clinical practice problem.
