The PSW Guiseppe, recently graduated from the PSW program at George Brown College and was hired at a LTC facility during the ongoing pandemic. Undoubtedly, there is a learning curve with starting this job and Guiseppe is trying his best to provide competent, safe, and compassionate care to the residents he is assigned, however, he often finds himself falling behind. He is still inexperienced and with the ongoing pandemic, the LTC facility seems to be always short staffed and busy in maintaining all the infection control measures. One of the senior PSWs Marsha, has been making some negative comments to Guiseppe about his inability to perform efficiently. He knows she is also making negative comments about him to the other staff and recognizes this is ‘horizontal bullying’, something he learned in his classes at George Brown.
