This assignment focuses on:
CO3: Evaluate evidence-based research and its applicability to professional nursing practice.
CO4: Discuss the roles of the professional nurse as a manager, leader, and change agent and how it is demonstrated within the interprofessional care team.

The presentation is to be 7-10 slides in length excluding the title and reference slides.
Perform a library search in the LIRN. No other outside resources will be accepted. For example, internet searches such as Google Scholar will not be accepted. Please share the keywords utilized and the filters you applied. For example, did you use peer-reviewed, full text, scholarly journals, and date?
What excites you about nursing? What are your career goals? Please list two career goals. What level of education is required?
What area of nursing are you interested in? And why? Reflective of your
research, is there a need for more nurses in your area of interest?
Describe the importance of evidence-based practice. How do nurses in your
area of interest use evidence-based practice? Give two examples.
Describe the impact that your example of evidence-based practice has on
patient care, nursing practice, and patient outcomes.
Include citations and references to at least 2 current scholarly resources.
Citations and references must be in APA 7th edition format. You are required to have in-text citations in your slides and a separate reference list slide.

Creating a PowerPoint Presentation
An electronic presentation is a common mode of communication in today’s
healthcare environment. An electronic presentation is a great visual aid to
enhance the message, especially when graphics and other media are thoughtfully
added to the presentation.
Unless you are proficient in slide design, use slide designs already provided by PowerPoint; choose one slide design and continue the design throughout the
presentation.
It is important to create a balance in the slide design:
Ensure that the font is large enough for the audience to read. Select a sans-
serif font such as Arial versus Times New Roman to make the text more legible for the reader.
Present the key message (on the slide) as bulleted or numbered points and elaborate in the speaker notes. The speaker notes will include what you would say during the presentation. If there are large amounts of text on the slide, the reader will be detracted from your message while attempting to read the slide instead of listening to you.
Select a slide design that will provide a good contrast between the text and the background color of the slide, e.g., white text on a blue background, or black text on a light-colored background.
The purpose of the speaker notes are to expand upon the idea and document what you want to say about the information on the slide. For this assignment,
the speaker notes are where the instructor will see that you have met all
requirements of the assignment so ensure all elements are covered thoroughly. Cite
all references in APA 7th edition format in your speaker notes or on slide if
needed.
Please note, the Speaker’s Notes should elaborate upon the key messages on
the slide, and should not restate the contents of the slide.
To create Speaker’s Notes: Open your PowerPoint Presentation. The screen
first opens in what is known as “normal view.” Under the slide is a section that reads, “click here to add notes.” Simply click and type.
Provide a list of references that are cited in the presentation. There should be a separate slide with your references listed in APA format.
