• In this assignment, you will work in assigned group to engage peer through a comparative case analysis of unwanted pregnancy and address the application of legal and ethical practice standards.
Scenario: Unwanted Pregnancy Options
• #1: Tiffany, a 30-years-old, is in the first trimester of an unintended pregnancy and comes to the health center today for her first prenatal appointment. She had a positive home test a few weeks ago, and a positive HCG blood test in the clinic one week ago. She is taking Chantix to help her quit smoking and sertaline for mild depression. She had been on oral contraceptives until recently when she stopped taking them because she felt that the OCP and Chantix together were causing her to feel very depressed and “weird.” This is an unintended pregnancy and Tiffany is not in a committed relationship. She is not sure if she wishes to terminate, have the baby and pursue adoption, or have the baby and raise it herself.
