ANALYSIS OF KINSEY-
After watching the film Kinsey, you will write a brief paper (2–3 pages) in which you discuss your reactions and relate aspects of the film to course material.
You are encouraged to take notes while watching the film if you think it will be helpful.
When writing your paper, please use the following organizational scheme: First, begin by discussing your reactions to the film. Start with your overall impressions (positive or negative). Did anything surprise you? Did you gain any new insight or perspective into human sexuality by watching the film (e.g., historical views on sex)? This portion of the paper should be approximately one full page in length.
The remainder of your paper should be reserved for analyzing Kinsey’s approach to research as you observed it in the film. What did you think of his research methods and efforts to recruit participants? Did you find his work to be ethically acceptable? Do you think his research could have been conducted any differently given his resources and the time period in which his work was carried out? Did Kinsey take his research too far, or not far enough? You can draw on information discussed in lecture or the readings in answering these questions if you find it to be helpful; however, this is still expected to be your own personal analysis of Kinsey’s work.
Please note that if you draw upon outside sources, you must appropriately cite them. This portion of the paper should be one to two full pages in length.
