Each student will choose a fictional character from a movie, TV show, or book, and conduct a personality
assessment of that person. The assessment is to include identification and discussion of the person’s
attitudes, behaviors, and relationships as they apply to his/her personality development. This character’s
personality is to be analyzed through the various theories and perspectives presented in your text and/or
class discussions. Students will email their choices of characters to the instructor when requested, so that
no two students will be assessing the same fictional character.
Your analysis must utilize at least one theory from your text and/or lectures that help to make sense of
your character’s personality. In addition, your paper must include each of the following points:
 Identify the fictional character and provide a short description of his or her role(s).
 Identify and discuss specific personality traits and/or characteristics that are seen in the
character’s lifestyle, communication, and relationships.
 Discuss strengths, weaknesses, and challenges that this character seems to possess.
 Discuss social and/or cultural factors in the development of this character’s personality.
