For this discussion, you will work with the fact that motor control, like most other capacities, is “distributed”.
1. Describe a behavior that involves coordinated, voluntary skeletal muscle activity (Note: your answer to this question should be less than half of your submission).
2. Speculate about how the brain could compensate for the “elimination” of one of the following areas (discussed in the text) well enough so that the behavior you describe would be nearly normal: Sensory cortex, primary motor cortex, supplementary motor cortex, premotor cortex, basal ganglia, and cerebellum. Include the following in your post:
-Identify which area you are “eliminating”.
-Describe the basic function of the missing “part”.
