Look at the O*net profile for chief executives (Use those words in an occupation keyword search) to inform your answers to the following questions:
(1) Are CEOs paid too much or worth their high compensation packages?
(2) Is it ethical or fair that a CEO receives a bonus when employees are being laid off or having their benefits reduced?
(3) Does high compensation for CEOs increase company performance? Remember, in your answers; it must be evident that you have gone to the O*Net (so include some information from there in your answers).
(4) How can a Job Analysis help an organization determine compensation for CEOs and all other employees?
A note for clarification: Use O*Net as a guide for formatting your analysis – i.e., what categories would you include (tasks, skills, environment, etc.?) as part of the homemaker role? How would you use that information to determine compensation? What jobs do you think are similar – and why…and what do they earn? (ex. Chauffeur/taxi driver, childcare worker, nurse’s aide, housekeeper, etc.)…That data could come from O*Net (with citation), and depending on your analysis of the homemaker role, you might decide some of that is particularly relevant. Explain your reasoning (i.e., Which job information do you think is most relevant and why.) Be sure to ground your analysis in O*Net information and the assigned Bergmann article, which I have attached as the two sources needed for this assignment.
