Lola is a 37-year-old, Hispanic female who is currently a stay-at-home mother and former
attorney. Lola graduated top of her class and was offered a prestigious position working with the government which led to long hours in the office and little to no time for herself. Four
years into this position, Lola met her husband who is also a successful attorney.
After beingmarried for several years, Lola and her husband decided it was time to start a family. Lola and her husband have two children under the age of 5. After giving birth, Lola stopped working as an attorney and stayed at home to raise the children.Initially, Lola was excited about being able to stay at home with her children, but she has started to think and feel differently.Lola has started to go out more with her friends and stay out all night drinking and trying different types of drugs. She has recently begun using cocaine multiple times a week when out with friends and has also tried ecstasy on multiple occasions. Lola loves the escape that going out
provides for her. Her husband has recently given Lola an ultimatum that she needs to start
working with a counselor after coming home to find her sleeping on the couch with the children
playing in their bedrooms. Lola has scheduled an appointment with you as she is concerned that her husband is threatening a divorce.
