o Must be APA style
o Exceptions – Use Arial font NOT Times New Roman
o Use of subheadings is accepted (this can be helpful for you to
organize the information that you have collected and assessed)
o You need to have a minimum of 8 references (scholarly, peer reviewed articles), 6 of which must be primary research studies, you are welcome to use more than 8 references (this may make the assignment easier for you)
o You are welcome to include papers that we have read together in your references, but only 1 class read paper can be counted toward your 8 total references

o It is important to note that writing a mini-review is different from the descriptive writing you were doing in the exploration part of your reflexploration report

o Instead, you are developing a question about a particular topic in sex differences and behavioural neuroscience , finding 8 carefully selected papers directly seeking to answer your question, reading your selected papers, deciding what answer these papers collectively give you and then generating an appropriate thesis statement: These papers together tell me _____________________ about my research question
o Once you have established your thesis you are then able to construct an outline for your paper determining the most effective way to support your thesis
