Step 1. Draw an Eco Map based on Bronfenbrenner’s theory, representing one stage of development of your choice (e.g., early childhood, young adulthood). To demonstrate your ecological model, identify important social systems by displaying at least 3 significant events/individuals/organizations per system. The diagrams should be created on computer. See Eco Map example in Canvas. Your ecomap does not have to be identical with the sample. Be creative in organizing your diagram and it will be fine if it clearly distinguishes each system. You can use your own pictures or images/symbols from online. *If you don’t feel comfortable discussing your own experiences, you can pick an individual (e.g., a favorite movie character, a family member) and reflect/analyze their developmental experiences.
Step 2. Synthesize a two to three pages of reflection explaining the diagram using concepts discussed in the class. You can cite the textbook as well as other sources if you have any. The narrative will be typed, double-spaced, using a 12-point Times New Roman font, following APA citation style including a reference page.
