This assignment is based on Question 5 from your discussion this week. The question was:
5. What do you think is the most important factor in a highly successful team?
All of you gave an opinion based on experience and how those experiences interacted with your beliefs, attitudes, and values. Now it is time to find out if there is any evidence to support your claim. Your assignment this week will be to search for evidence for your opinion. Use the library to locate at least one peer-reviewed journal article which provides direct evidence to support your opinion. Then, provide a summary of what you found in paragraph format. You should begin by summarizing the article you found. Describe the study briefly, and then synthesize the findings to your answer.
Your answer should be thorough and be at a bare minimum one full page double spaced. This is a scholarly assignment. Other than the copied post from your discussion, use appropriate language and grammar in a professional manner. You will be graded on the clarity of your thoughts and your ability to find and explain the evidence you found to support your claim.
If you cannot find evidence to support your claim, or you find that in your research that you have changed your mind, then make a brief statement to that fact and select a new “most important factor” based on an article of your choosing. You will not lose any points by selecting a new factor. It is all part of the process of learning.
Your evidence must be from a peer-reviewed journal.

The article should be published no earlier then 1990. Anything before 1990 is not acceptable.
Do NOT use a book. Your evidence must be from a peer-reviewed journal article. If you have trouble, ask a librarian!
Look for an article that directly discusses your answer to Q5.
*If you cannot find good evidence, rethink your answer to Q5! Feel free to change your mind based on the evidence you find. That is a major component of critical thinking.
The point of this assignment is for you to practice finding direct evidence to support a claim. Don’t use popular magazines or websites for your answer, use the library search or Google Scholar and find a peer-revied journal. You should be able to point to a statement in your article that provides evidence that what you believed to be the most important aspect of working in a group is arguably accurate.
Remember, in psychological science we don’t talk about proof, we discuss evidence for a claim or idea.
