You will choose two people to interview who are at least a teenager or older (one person can be a close relative while the other person must be a non-relative). Try to choose individuals who are from different generations.
● Gen Z, iGen, or Centennials: Born 1996 and later
● Millennials or Gen Y: Born 1977 to 1995
● Generation X: Born 1965 to 1976
● Baby Boomers: Born 1946 to 1964
● Traditionalists or Silent Generation: Born 1945 and before
You will type a 3-page (double spaced) paper summarizing your interviews and reflect on what you have learned from interviewing the two chosen individuals that directly relate to this course of human development across the lifespan (i.e., incorporate terms and concepts from your textbook that help to explain the experiences of your interviewees). For example: You may want to bring up parenting styles (authoritarian, permissive, etc.) when discussing the parenting questions. Discuss similarities and differences in the responses.
Youwill also attach the survey of questions and answers from each interview (like an appendix). The 3-page paper must include citations and list the resources used in APA style (i.e., from your textbook or other resources related to human development). This is your opportunity to learn firsthand how people from different generations will view life experiences that are pretty common to us all.
Standard questions to be asked by the interviewer:

3) How important was getting an education when you were growing up? Explain.
4) What kind of relationship do you (or did you) have with your parents? Explain.

6) How has your decision-making changed since you were younger? Explain
7) Who are the most important people in your life? Explain
8) Do you make the majority of your decisions in life based upon your needs OR the needs of those around you?
9) Do you ever envy the opportunities of the opposite-sex?
10) Would you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist? Explain.
11) In today’s society, what things concern you the most? Explain.
12) What worries you most when you think about the future?
13) What piece of advice would you give to future generations?
14) What is your relationship with technology?
15) Choose 3 adjectives to describe your generation that you don’t think apply to other generations.
