You will engage both hemispheres of your brain by engaging your rational, logical left brain and your creative, artistic right brain for this assignment. Your task is to pick any two out of the many major major topics that we covered in this chapter:
-Endocrine system
-Nervous system divisions
-Electrochemical process
-Structure of the neuron
-Neurotransmitters
-Structures of the brain
Do extra research on these areas until you become mini-experts on them (read through the sections again thoroughly in the book, follow the links provided at the end of the chapter, find relevant youtube videos to help you, google searches, etc.). Then for each of the two topics you select, write out an explanation of the topic using your own words as if you were tutoring another intro student and helping them learn that component of neuroscience. Nothing should be copied and pasted from any source and needs to be provided using your own language. Then draw pictures, diagrams, illustrations, etc. in order to help the hypothetical student understand the topic as well. You cannot copy and paste images from elsewhere, it has to be created by you, either drawn by hand or done created by you using software.
The format for the assignment is up to you. You can do it on paper by providing your left-brain written explanations and right-brain colorful drawings, just make sure you do completed topics. Take a picture(s) of your completed assignment and upload it when you are finished.
